WooHoo!

It took me a couple of days to finally figure it all out, but I have an old Wesson Oil TV commercial uploaded, thumbnails and all.

Now that I know how, I have lots of TV commercials to upload, but it won't happen overnight because I'm on dialup!

I won't be able to upload anything that's more than 10mb, but I have plenty of videos that are that small.

I'm new to this forum and to the Internet Archive. I would like to download at the best quality available. I've tried clicking on the best, then clicking the download button as the item plays, but it still just downloads the current playing quality. What's the trick?

Thanks for any help,

reggieyork

rq52, it wasn't easy for me. If it weren't set up so that I can use an FTP client, I wouldn't have been able to do it at all.

As it is, I had to make 2 attempts to get the MPG file FTP'd into the directory, because at one point I lost my connection and had to start over.

This is why I won't be able to upload movies. I'll have to stick with TV commercials because they aren't very big.

If I ever get broadband, I have hundreds of public domain movies and old sitcoms I could upload that aren't already here at archive.org. But it's impossible for me to even think about large uploads like that on dialup.
